The postseason run for the Lady Maroons tennis team came to an end Thursday in Lexington. Madisonville-North Hopkins was among the 16 teams to reach the state team tennis tournament. The Lady Maroons were matched up in the opening round against Daviess County. The Lady Panthers, who are among the favorites to contend for the title, won all three singles matches to take the 3-0 victory and move on to the quarterfinals. Daviess County would then also win its quarterfinal match against Ashland Blazer to move into the state semifinals. The loss ends a big run for the Lady Maroons that saw not only the team reach the final 16, but also Kiley DeMoss reach the round of 16 in singles play.
