The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons put together another great team performance today at the Daviess County Invitational, finishing Runner-Up with a team score of 298 in a field of 16 teams and over 100 players! The Maroons finished just 6 shots behind tournament champion McCracken County (292) and edged Owensboro Catholic (299) by a single stroke to claim second place. Jake Witherspoon captured Individual Champion honors with an incredible 6-under-par 65, highlighted by a scorching 30 on the back nine! Finishing first in a field of more than 100 players is an incredible accomplishment! A big congratulations also goes to freshman Jaxon Vincent, who made his varsity tournament debut today and fired an impressive 78. What a fantastic start to his high school tournament career!
