Maroons Blow Past Kenwood 15-4

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons were more than happy to take advantage of the ‘giving’ spirit of the Kenwood Nights Friday evening. The Knights gave up five errors and 10 walks as the Maroons cruised to a 15-4 five-inning win south of the border. The Maroons (3-1) scored three runs in the first, 8 in the second, and then two in the third and in the fourth on their way to their third win of the first week of the season. In each of the three wins, the Maroons have scored double digit runs. Seven different Maroon hitters had one hit each in the contest. Evan Wilson was 1-1 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Brantley Harris was 1-2 with an RBI and two runs scored. Aidan Arp was 1-1 with two RBIs and a run scored. Gauge Clark finished 1-1 with two RBIs and a run scored. Evan Wilson went two innings on the mound to get the win for the Maroons. He gave up one run on one hit, striking out three and walking one.
